If some of you are interested I could try to find the time to finish it. In short, copy on mac 1, paste on mac 2 with no additional steps. When it was updated (ie when you copied something) it was automagically put in the pasteboard of every other registered computers. It was (is) fairly easy to use: there was a pref panel to chose which computers to send the pasteboards to (discovered via rendez-vous), and a daemon which watched the pasteboard constantly. I wrote a similar thing for personal use a few months ago but never had the time to polish it enough for a release (there was some problems when switching networks). Nice, I did not know that something like that existed already. It also contains simple functionality for restoring previous clipboards Only things I have not seen mentioned are ClipboardSharing, an application made to make it easy for you to share your clipboard between several computers. Makes it very easy to rename multiple files in the terminal. Mmv - Console app that doesn't have a home page and isn't on fink, however it does compile without too much trouble. Gotta Love it! (It works with AucTeX and flyspell.el, however, and that's what's important for me.) ITerm - Like Terminal.app, but with tabs, and therefore inherently better - View image here: -Įmacs - Real GNU Emacs 21.
#Menumeters in linux software
This is probably *the* piece of software I couldn't live without! UControl - Turns the useless "Enter" key into a "Function" key on my iBook. GeekTool - Like AquaMon (which is ArsWare, so it's cool), but more configurable, and doesn't crash.
#Menumeters in linux free
Simple, effective, free - what more could you want! XShelf - Makes dragging and dropping stuff so much easier. (I have no idea how I'm ever going to use expose, as I use F9, F10, and F11 for Back, Pause, and FF in iTunes!) PTHiTunesNotifier - Displays the current itunes song in a transparent window, and allows it to be controlled with hot keys. How the hell do you pronounce "Mac Ach"? Is it "Mac Ack", or "Mac Arch", or something else? It's something I've always wondered, but if you're saying it to your computer, then you must have worked it out.Ī couple of my favourites that haven't been mentioned (all available from Version Tracker, I guess).ĬocoaAspell - replace the OS X built-in spell checked with GNU Aspell. Okay, a little OT, but this one has me intrigued. "Mac Ach" - Opens my favorite forum - View image here:. While not exactly 3rd party, I have just fallen in love with speech commands (at least in panther, I'm not sure about jag).
